pick my face for me!
You know how you have to put a picture on sites like facebook and myspace? Well, I didn't really have a good one for my facebook picture, so I set out to get one. I've been playing around with it in PS and I can't really decide which one I like or what to do with the picture all together. I think that #4 is my favorite because the "glamour" cast makes me look so much prettier than in real life. What do you think? It is too made-up? John's favorite was #2 because he LOVES my freckles. Either that or he just said something so I would stop bugging him during his pirate fight.

Different sides of me
Often when I am putting on my makeup in the morning...which usually consists of a little blush and mascara...I notice how my face looks different from certain angles. The angle I'm used to is straight on, so when I see it from another, I look new and foreign to the one who has been looking at it for 27 years. Interesting, huh? Have your kids take a picture of your face from an angle that you don't normally see. In a way, you'll be getting to know yourself better!Thursday, May 15, 2008
Carefree
When was the last time you had a conversation with the neighbors dog while wearing your brother's old Thomas the Tank Engine underwear and a pink shirt with braided pigtails in your hair...oh, and pink cowgirl boots. Yeah, I think it's been awhile.

texture
I just learned how to apply texture to a picture. If you want to learn too, check out this website: http://shuttersisters.squarespace.com/home/ and look at today's post. Here's my first attempt.

My new favorite website...
is www.ilovephotography.com or ILP for short. If you have any interest in photography and learning from others about photography, this is your site! You do have to make an account, but it's free. Members put tutorials and post tons of pictures. I could spend hours on this site. Here is a tutorial that I did today. It's Andrea Joki's "Luminosity Deep Color Pop."Here is the SOOC (straight out of camera) shot:
